White-throated Sparrow Zonotrichia albicollis Another sign of spring at Crocker Hill is the return of the sparrows as the garden comes alive with their song. In breeding season, the male white-throat sings early in the morning, at dusk and sometimes in the middle of the night we hear his fmailiar high clear whistle, "sweet Canada, Canada, Canada..." The white-throated sparrows nest in our dense ground hemlock hedges and we often hear them rustling in the thicket as they scratch for their supper. Our prints are double matted with acid free 100% rag mat. The outer mat on each is pearl gray with a complementary inner mat for each bird. Frames are mahogany finish 3/4" wood.
